What would your colleagues say if they could build their answer in a discussion rather than just verbally explain it? Join us at the Platform Innovation Centre a short CTrain ride from the University of Calgary's downtown campus, for a free, hands-on hour with the LEGO® Serious Play® method. LEGO® Serious Play® is a facilitation method for the questions that are hard to talk about. Ideas that are complex, half-formed or unspoken become three-dimensional models on the table, where they can be seen, questioned and built on. Everyone builds, and everyone gets a turn to be heard, including the quiet ones at the back of the room. In this session you will: - Get a quick introduction to how the process works - Build your own LEGO® Serious Play® model in response to a real question - Tell the story of your model, and hear what the people around you built No experience needed. No artistic talent required. We supply the bricks. Fair warning: once you start building, it's hard to stop. Faculty, instructional designers, teaching and learning staff, student services, HR and L&D professionals, facilitators and coaches are all welcome. Hosted by Dr. David Newman and Lan Anh Nguyen, Serious Play Methods Want to go further? Our two-day LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitator Certification runs in Calgary on 29 and 30 October.
