The Peer-to-Peer program creates meetup groups for senior level staff and leaders from tech companies in Calgary. Our goal is to help tech leaders foster innovation, enhance their leadership skills, and stay updated on industry trends. Participants will do this through knowledge sharing, problem-solving, networking and holding space for each other’s topics of discussion. Meetings will be facilitated by a certified Venture Mentoring Service of Alberta (VMSA) coach. VMSA is an entrepreneur mentorship program that provides ongoing coaching focussed on building effective leaders.
The Peer-to-Peer program provides a safe inclusive space for leaders to build and grow their businesses and become part of the Alberta tech ecosystem. We expect program participants, program partners, coaches and speakers to:
Senior level staff and leaders within Calgary’s tech landscape who work for a company that is a member at Platform Calgary. Tech companies must be members of Platform Calgary and have an annual revenue of up to $5 million. Participants may have varying job titles, however they must manage similar portfolios to enable relevant discussions. New participants can join any time.

Finance - responsibilities are related to the financial management and strategic decision-making of an organization.
Growth - responsibilities are focused on revenue generation, market expansion, customer acquisition, and strategic planning.
Operations - responsibilities are related to the day-to-day operations and strategic management of an organization.
People and Culture - responsibilities are related to managing and optimizing the organization’s human capital.
Product - responsibilities are related to overseeing the development, management and performance of a company’s product portfolio.
Technology - responsibilities are related to the technology, innovation, and digital transformation of a product or service.
Marketing - responsibilities are related to overseeing and managing an organization’s marketing efforts.
Emerging Leader - this may be a person who is early in their career and is looking for a trajectory that will take them to executive level leadership, or this could be someone who has had a successful career in a different industry and has transitioned into the tech world, showing great success and potential.
