February 13th at 5:30pm in the Open Learning Lab we are having a joint meetup with Calgary UX featuring Jasmine Palardy host of Lobby Fest and the WRLDCTY Conference.
In September of 2023 Calgary's downtown lobbies were bustling with excitement during the Lobby Fest events that combined prototyping and placemaking. LobbyFest engaged 30 community partners to host 19 events and labs, co-create 8 installations, and activate 4 lobbies. The focus was on the question "What is the future of YOUR downtown?”.

Following Lobby Fest Jasmine hosted the WRLD City Conference in New York City in October. A global forum focused on urban innovation, WRLDCTY connects a global community around expertly curated sessions and workshops that uncover, provoke, and inspire inventive solutions transforming cities around the world.

Combining the feedback from both the events of Lobby Fest and the learnings from WRLDCTY we are again looking to Calgary, focusing on the future of downtown innovation in 2024, discussing impactful ideas that could reshape, revitalise and reignite Calgary's downtown core.
