Platform Calgary is a non-profit, member based organization. Our mandate is to bring together the resources of Calgary's tech ecosystem to help startups launch and grow at every step of their journey, from ideation through to scale.
More about Platform CalgaryThe Platform Innovation Centre opened its doors on June 6, 2022. Calgary’s new home for innovators will welcome Calgarians into the city’s first purpose-built hub for tech and innovation in the province.
Poised to offer a “one-stop-shop” for tech startups at all stages and sizes, the Platform Innovation Centre is the new home of Platform Calgary and more than 70 service partners offering resources, programming and events designed to help founders and entrepreneurs launch and grow their companies.
“We know from the extensive experience of other tech hubs around the world that the whole system moves faster when it is brought together under one roof,” Terry Rock, President and CEO at Platform Calgary. “Connections and collaboration matter when developing and growing a startup, finding a high potential tech investment, or when engaging innovators to drive corporate transformation. This is what the Innovation Centre will facilitate.”
The Innovation Centre is a flexible, future-proofed and accessible facility anchored in an emerging Innovation District within the East Village, right across from the Central Library. It is a landmark public space in a fast-growing neighbourhood and a symbol that Calgary is serious about building its innovation economy.

For Ecosystem Builders
Calgary’s startup ecosystem has reached a significant milestone, ranking among the Top 50 Emerging Startup Ecosystems globally and one of the fastest growing in North America. For Startups
At Caravel Law, supporting startups and innovators isn’t a side offering — it’s foundational to how the firm was built. Startups are often moving quickly, making high-stakes decisions with limited resources, and they need legal support that keeps pace with that reality. Caravel’s belief is simple: good legal advice shouldn’t slow progress or feel disconnected from the business.
