Come celebrate the brilliance and help untangle the challenges of racialized communities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM)!
Hosted by the University of Calgary Faculty of Science and the United States Consulate General of Calgary, the event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, in the MacEwan Hall Ballroom.
Freedom Dreaming will feature a keynote from Dr. Terrell Morton, a talk by Dr. Ti’Era Worsley, panels and dialogues about Black experiences in STEMM, a screening of Woman in Motion, a networking session, and a buffet lunch. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to drop in and out as their class schedules allow.
