Companies with 1 to 5 employees and/or up to $100,000 in ARR

Membership FAQ's
Member companies must be:
- Headquartered in Calgary or have a staff presence in Calgary
- Incorporated with a Corporate Access Number
- A tech-driven or enabled* company, building a product or solution that can solve problems at scale.
- Is not a consulting firm or service provider
Tech-driven or tech-enabled companies create and sell proprietary technology using hardware or software to solve real-world problems. Your primary source of revenue is from technology being developed, not from reselling an existing technology, nor from a consulting service.
Currently, Platform Membership is designed for tech companies. You may find other opportunities to engage with Calgary’s tech and innovation ecosystem through Platform Calgary hosted events, other community events, or learn more about becoming a Platform Calgary Partner.

Currently, Membership is designed for incorporated tech companies. There other ways for individuals to join the community. Come to an event (check out the Community Events Calendar), follow along on social media and subscribe to our newsletter. Or, stop by the Platform Innovation Centre to chat about ways to get involved!
If your company is not currently based in Calgary but you have employees present in the city, you can apply for Platform Calgary Membership. Your company must meet the other core criteria of being:
- An incorporated company with a Corporate Access Number
- Tech-driven or enabled (Primary source of revenue does not come from providing services or consulting, but from selling a proprietary product.)
The Platform Innovation Centre isn’t a traditional coworking space, but it does offer flexible access to shared spaces for both members and the public.
The main floor and common areas are open to the public and designed to welcome anyone exploring Calgary’s innovation community. For Platform members, additional perks include free drip coffee, discounted meeting and boardroom bookings, access to event spaces like the KPMG Pitch Stage, and day-use hot-desking throughout the building.
While it doesn’t offer dedicated desks or mailing services, the Centre provides a vibrant, collaborative environment for working, meeting, and connecting.
Please note: Platform Calgary does not provide mailing services for member companies. We kindly ask that Members do not use Platform Calgary’s address for mailing purposes.
