Calgary is a city of builders, defined by a spirit of community and a “blue sky” mindset that rises to meet global challenges. Platform Calgary connects and unites Calgary’s tech ecosystem, serving as the hub for the entrepreneurs who are building our city’s next economy.
“Calgary is helping to drive the national conversation on economic diversification, innovation and growth… Platform Calgary remains a vital partner in ensuring that we continue to build and foster the nation-leading innovation ecosystem that will create prosperity and opportunities for generations to come.”
— Jeromy Farkas, Mayor of Calgary

This growth is translating directly into economic impact. Platform member companies secured $323.9M in investment in 2025 alone, pushing total capital raised since 2018 beyond $1 billion. Innovation ecosystems thrive not just on venture growth, but through community mobilization.
In 2025:
Beyond hosting activity, Platform Calgary actively lowers barriers to participation. Since 2023, over $2 million in rental space value has been donated to non-profit tech and community organizations, ensuring innovation remains accessible, inclusive, and community-driven.

For Ecosystem Builders
Calgary’s startup ecosystem has reached a significant milestone, ranking among the Top 50 Emerging Startup Ecosystems globally and one of the fastest growing in North America. With tech employment up 78% since 2018, momentum is strong — but sustaining this growth will require continued support for new founders and ensuring startups have the resources to scale and stay in Calgary. This is why we are evolving founder venture programs at Platform Calgary

For Startups
At Caravel Law, supporting startups and innovators isn’t a side offering — it’s foundational to how the firm was built.
