For Ecosystem Builders
We’re excited to introduce the inaugural cohort of the Platform Pre-Accelerator — a group of founders building solutions across healthcare, construction, transportation, agriculture, e-commerce, and more. This 9-week, in-person, execution-first program is designed for founders who have moved beyond the idea stage and are actively testing their product in-market — working to define their ideal customer, validate demand, and build a repeatable path to early traction. The cohort brings together Calgary-based founders who are building, experimenting, and working to turn early progress into structured, consistent execution.

For Startups
At the March Community Connect, we brought together founders and scaling sales leaders for a practical conversation on how AI is reshaping modern revenue systems.Featuring Abbas Sarraf (Co-Founder & CPO, Aimsio) and Dennis Hale (VP Sales, Aimsio), moderated by Stephen Wensley (CEO, Acuspire), the session cut through the noise and focused on what’s actually working today. And the message was clear:AI isn’t about replacing sales teams. It’s about building better sales and marketing systems for scale.

For Ecosystem Builders
Behind every startup milestone is a moment of support: a connection made, a skill learned, or guidance that helps a founder take the next step. Platform Calgary’s programming provides a tiered pathway that supports founders from the initial spark of an idea through to global scaling. By lowering barriers for early-stage entrepreneurs and providing high-performance coaching and sector-specific connections for growing companies, these programs help founders move from idea to traction and build businesses that can scale.

Platform Calgary welcomed Minister Evan Solomon for a timely conversation on Canada’s AI future, bringing together founders, investors, and policymakers for both a roundtable and public program. The discussion focused on a central question: how can Canada translate AI leadership into globally competitive companies while keeping talent, capital, and IP at home?

The Platform Calgary Board of Directors announces that Jennifer Lussier has been appointed as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, effectively immediately. Lussier had served as the organization's interim-CEO since October of 2025.

For Ecosystem Builders
The Platform Innovation Centre is the “front door” to Calgary’s tech ecosystem—a 55,000 square foot hub where partners, founders, investors, and community leaders collide to build Calgary’s future. More than a building, the Centre serves as essential infrastructure for a growing innovation economy. It is a neutral ground where startups engage with established industries, investors connect directly with founders, and community organizations gather to move ideas forward.

For Ecosystem Builders
At the centre of every thriving innovation ecosystem is a network of people. Founders who take risks. Operators who scale teams. Investors who back ambition. Community leaders who create space for meaningful connection, collaboration, and partnership.Platform Calgary believes that no founder should have to build alone. In 2025, the community grew larger, more diverse, and more interconnected than ever before, reflecting Calgary’s position as one of the most dynamic tech communities in the world.

For Ecosystem Builders

For Ecosystem Builders
Calgary’s startup ecosystem has reached a significant milestone, ranking among the Top 50 Emerging Startup Ecosystems globally and one of the fastest growing in North America. With tech employment up 78% since 2018, momentum is strong — but sustaining this growth will require continued support for new founders and ensuring startups have the resources to scale and stay in Calgary. This is why we are evolving founder venture programs at Platform Calgary
